Honor the Wounded
This blog is for honoring our wounded soldiers. It seems appropriate to start it as we begin our 4th of July weekend, 2005.Our niece was wounded in Baghdad, Iraq on the 22nd of June. As I searched the web for resources I found that our wounded are being tucked carefully away where we can't see them. They are, in many cases, not getting the care we expect them to and that they have earned by their service. This article, "The Invisible Wounded", by Mark Benjamin spurred me on to help publicize the plight of our wounded American soldiers and their families.
If you have a story to share, post it in the comments for this first post or email me and I will add it to the blog for you. God Bless all the soldiers for doing the hard job!
